KIANUSH ROBESON

Kianush Robeson graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music in 2018 1st class with honours where he studied with John Mills, Graham Anthony Devine and Steve Gordon. Since then he has dedicated most of his time to teaching where he shares his time between pupils at grammar school for boys, private pupils in both Hertfordshire and Bexhill-on-Sea and two guitar societies he founded also based in Hertfordshire and Bexhill. Kianush’s school pupils have gained offers at Cambridge University, Trinity Laban Conservatoire, Royal Northern Conservatoire, The Royal College of Music and scholarships at The Royal Academy of Music and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Outside of school his pupils often achieve Distinction in their graded exams and pursue Diploma level qualifications with Trinity and ABRSM. Before graduating he founded the Hertfordshire Classical Guitar Society to provide himself and his pupils a platform for performance which was so successful locally that it has become a platform for other guitarists from around the world to give concerts in Croxley Green. He has now founded a new society in Bexhill which has rapidly grown.

Kianush still dedicates as much time as possible to performing, he was most recently a finalist in the Houston International Guitar Competition 2021 and semi-finalist in the London Guitar Competition 2020. He began his first tour of the south coast in November 2022 with a new programme ‘Impressions of Segovia’ which continues in 2023. Kianush plays on a guitar built by Phillip Woodfield in Catsfield East Sussex.
